Millville Air Show



Grandpa works for the FAA in Millville. Every year Ernest and I have gone to the practice show on the Friday before the big weekend.
This summer we had an extra. Ernest's friend Stephen, who comes over every Friday for an entire day of summer fun! Now that Ernest is older it was a lot of fun watching him watch the planes. This was Stephen's first plane show, so he was extra fun to watch. My dad gave me tickets to give to his mom so she could take Stephen on that Saturday or Sunday.

Father's Day Weekend

For father's day we all piled into the car and drove 3 hours into the lovely Pennsylvania hills. Why? Well for the trains of course! Not ONLY does my wonderful son absolutely adore trains. So does grandpa (and I). And what better way to spend father's day weekend but in a car driving into the paradise of well -Paradise, PA. It was a lovely two day adventure. Lots of train rides, two trips to the hotel swimming pool, and a buggy ride touring Amish country. Ernest was soo tired that he actually slept in.

FIRST FISH


Ever since we put the boat in, at the end of May; Ernest has been anxiously awaiting the time when he could go fishing. Ernest practiced his cast off the back deck, a little rubber minnow attatched to the end of his line. He was really good. So one cloudy Monday morning, grandpa was finally convinced to take him to the bulkhead. After asking the neighboring fisherman for some bate -Ernest caught his first fish. Alas poor grandpa came up empty handed.

It's hard to see the fish -a sunny- but it was about the size of Ernest's head. They threw it back. But before the fish was returned to safety, Ernest had to look it in the eye.
